computer

I just realized that I haven’t mentioned anything about the nifty new computer I got. It is a gateway convertible Notebook, so it turns into a tablet. I love my computer, it is so cool. It has vista also which is really nice. I had heard some bad things about Vista before I got it but it is working for me so far. I love having internal wireless as opposed to the card thing I had to install on my old laptop.

Camp

We just started our third week of camp today and things are going well. I am the Program Director at the local Girl Scout Day camp this summer, not to be confused with the Camp Director. I am in charge of scheduling, arranging field trips, guest visitors and other special programs. I do other stuff to but those are the biggies. I have worked at one camp or an other for the past 4 summers but this is the first time that I have not been in the unit or cabin with the girls, even when I was program staff to summers ago at KPC I still was with the girls through out the day. Now I spend most of my day in the office planning stuff and preparing for different activities, which is a good thing since I can’t really do all that much since my knee surgery. This is also a bigger leadership position than I’ve had before. I help make decisions and act as Camp Director when she can’t be there. This job counts as my capstone internship for school, paid thankfully. You would think I had enough to do with just planning, and doing stuff for work but I have stuff I have to do for my internship as well. I am so glad that we have the week of the 4th of July off. Maybe I will be able to get some of my school work done. I better get it done, I want to graduate in August. 1 month and 9 days left. YAY! So, I thought there was more I was going to say but I don’t remember what I was going to say so this is it for now.
