Here is a quick update on whats been going on latly. I could probably write paragraphs on each of these but I don’t have the time, so here you go…
- Worked Mars Simulator (Ride) over the weekend. I was giving the shpeil to the 14 passengers when this woman answered her phone and was telling whoever was on the other end that she was on a ride. Her talking on the phone right there kept on distracting me and throwing me off my groove.
- Played ‘Musical Sims on Saturday. Was scheduled to work Atlantis Hab (Mission stuff) but didn’t have anybody, the positions I train in hab are the last filled. Got sent to work the Mars sim (which I was scheduled to work the next day) then due to not enough people working and someone getting heat stroke I was sent outside to work Lunar Lander (kiddie ride) the person there was trying to get it to work cause it had broken. Had to track down a supervisor to come look at it, she was at G-Force and told me to come there so she could look at Luner Lander. I’m not trained for G-Force so she gave me a quick lesson then went to Fix LL then sent me back there when it was fixed. Four sims in on day, yay. I even got a little award for all that.
- Went on a marketing trip for space camp to a little town. basically demonstrated how some of our simulators worked at this fair thing the town had and sweat all day. Did get to sleep in a hotel though, lost $5 in a poker game and ate out twice with the USSRC paying for it.
- Had an awesome team. 15 Girl Scouts from all over the country and one from Germany. They rockerd. They also got the best team award.
- Had a few counselors telling me they didn’t like my team. Saying that it was one of the worst missions they’d worked and that they shouldn’t have gotten best team. I don’t care what they think, my girls were awesome. just because there was no testosterone on the team doesn’t make it bad, guys!
- There was this really, really annoying kid who kept on riding Lunar Lander when I was working it on Saturday. he kept on pushing past kids trying to get to the ride again. then started crying when his mother told him to apologize to one kid he pushed. Then he turned up at Mars on Sunday. still trying to push past other customers. I was glad to see him go.
- I get my first full day off in a while tomorrow.
- I only have to work 4 hours today.
- I had an eye exam and my eyes are better than perfect.
- My room is a disaster (nothing new there).
- Stargate: Atlantis starts its fifth season tomorrow at 10/9c
- I have the best mom ever. (she put my Netflix on hold for me since I the site is blocked here)
- I figured out how to solve the top layer of my Rubiks Cube without cheating and had some camper solve the rest for me.
- And ordering Chinese can fill up to 3 meals… mayber 4.
